This post was actually written in April 2026. I just backdated it to keep the milestone timeline accurate and in step with when they actually happened.
So 50,000 isn’t a brand new digit, but it is the halfway point to getting one of those shiny 100,000 subscriber plaques. And with growth since 10,000 subscribers being consistent and steady, I can only assume that the 100k will happen.
But I’ll try to keep this milestone post short. I didn’t really do anything different. Just reiterate and refine the formula and processes that have been working.
But there is something to talk about here.
Most of this success has ridden on the back of my Red Dead Redemption 2 content. And while I deeply love Red Dead and don’t intend to stop making videos in it, it is a little at odds with my original mission of making the channel be a variety gaming channel.
The smart thing to do, if the smart thing is to just chase views and numbers over all else, would be to just laser focus on Red Dead content. But I can’t bring myself to do that.
I love the stories and opportunities other games can provide, so I keep trying others. And so far from what I’ve seen, other games just don’t get the initial algorithm burst that my Red Dead videos get. Everything I’ve done that isn’t Red Dead is firmly under 20,000 lifetime views. Which these days isn’t much comparatively.
The videos I’ve made in the Kingdom Come Deliverance franchise being the exception here. So far everything I’ve created from those games have performed just like the Red Dead content.
But even though the growth has ridden on the backs of those two games, I have no plans to stop trying other games here and there. If they remain highly niche videos only enjoyed by a few fans of smaller games, so be it. Small game audiences need love too! And maybe someday they too will get the same treatment my old Red Dead videos received when youtube found the audience for them.
I mean, I know Project Zomboid videos can have legs. Plenty out there with millions of views, I just haven’t quite hit that nail on the head yet.
But yeah. Short update this time. See you ate 100k.
